Startup Weekend is made for those looking who have a problem they'd like to solve but don't know where to start or who to start with. People came from all across the region for the chance to look for a team, create a prototype of their idea, validate your their idea and receive feedback from experienced entrepreneurs, all in one weekend.
Environmental sustainability is one of the biggest challenges humanity is facing, it’s our duty to help entrepreneurs find the best solutions to overcome it. That is why, Startup Unidos lead the unique cross-border Startup Weekend Sustainability Nogales, which was opened for all ages, experience levels and backgrounds.
The Museo de Art in Nogales, Sonora was filled with motivated people with ideas or willing to join other teams and improve the sustainability of the Arizona-Sonora region, their communities and the world.
Where a few even brough their own cups/bottle, plates and utensils!
Lots of energy! Como Se Dice? Improv Comedy Show and the unveiling of Nogaleria Giant Canvas Exhibit. We got up close and personal to host a conversation with local graffiti and hip hop collective of Nogaleria.
Some pitched their own idea while others listened , then everyone votes on the most interesting ideas and form teams with diverse skill sets.
Some came with friends but most decided to participate in separate teams to get the full experience.
It was a great opportunity to meet experienced, talented, and passionate entrepreneurs across the Arizona-Sonora region.
The enery intensified as the time arrived to present their final pitch to a select panel of judges and investors.
